Our Design Process
At Haus Narrative, our goal is to make the design process as clear and stress-free as possible while we work together to create your space. Throughout our project, you can expect the following phases.
Phase 1: Consultation
We begin with a $200 in-home consultation. For new builds, this includes a review of your plans and a site visit. During the walk-through, we will discuss the project scope, take any necessary measurements, clarify your style and functional requirements, and address any questions you may have.
Phase 2: Design Work
The next phase is completed digitally. You will be asked to provide any inspirational images or ideas for reference. Using this information, we will create Design Boards that include sourced materials, furnishings, and any necessary floorplan updates, organized by room. After reviewing these with you, we will make adjustments based on your feedback regarding budget, style, or layout. Design work is billed at $135.00 per designer per hour.
Phase 3: Sourcing
From this point, we offer two optional services. The first is the procurement of materials and finishes. Through our partnerships, we are able to provide designer discounts, which may save you up to 15% on your purchases. Procurement time is billed at $135.00 per hour, and any items purchased on your behalf will incur a 3% credit card processing fee. All product links will also be included in your Design Board should you prefer to handle purchasing independently.
The second service is contractor coordination. We work with a vetted network of contractors for projects such as tile, flooring, hardware, electrical, drywall, windows, and window treatments. Communication by phone or email is not billed; however, any on-site visits are billed at $135.00 per designer per hour.
Phase 4: Install
This final stage is where all the planning comes to life. We fully manage the installation and styling process, directing the team on placement, installation, and finishing details for every item in your space. While installation day can be busy, our team is skilled at coordinating all elements to ensure a seamless final result. We will be onsite for the duration of the installation, with time billed at $135.00 per designer per hour.
